JWB Prime Steak and Seafood Opens Doors at Margaritaville Hollywood

Hollywood Beach, Fla. Gets New Laid-Back Luxe Dining Option with Fresh Seafood, Spear-Caught Fish, Raw Bar, Prime Steaks, Hand-Crafted Specialty Cocktails & More

Hollywood, Fla. – March 15, 2016 – The new Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, located on the legendary Hollywood Beach Broadwalk in Hollywood, Fla., today announced that its eighth and final food and beverage venue is open for business. JWB Prime Steak and Seafood, an all-new concept introduced by the Margaritaville brand, gives local residents and resort guests the chance to enjoy exquisitely fresh cuisine in a unique coastal-luxe setting.

“JWB is an entirely new concept for Margaritaville and we could not be more delighted to have it make its debut at our beautiful new resort,” said Cate Farmer, General Manager. “This restaurant carefully combines the very best elements of the Margaritaville lifestyle in an intimate and casual yet sophisticated atmosphere we believe people will find truly refreshing.”

JWB, named after James (Jimmy) William Buffett, is situated in the main lobby of the new Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. Inspired by the Margaritaville lifestyle with authentic yet upscale South Florida touches, the restaurant features a full bar, as well as a main dining room that seats up to 135 guests. A private dining room is also available for small groups and business or social functions.

Key elements of the coastal-luxe venue’s design include a wine cellar wall and open-air kitchen. Feature walls of handpicked reclaimed brick compliment aged hardwood floors and tropically inspired elegant deep ocean blue drapes. Venetian plaster walls and European glass mosaics brighten the space, highlighting a 30-foot long work of original art. Unique bar stools (pictured right) are upholstered with imprinted rum labeled fabric modeled after long gone distilleries in the Caribbean, which provide a fun-felt welcome to arriving guests.

JWB’s extensive hand-crafted cocktail menu includes the Blue Heaven Rendezvous, an acai-blueberry vodka based drink with blueberry syrup, fresh lemon juice and raspberry puree mix, as well as the Jamaica Mistaica, a French almond flavored rum based drink with hints of fresh lime juice and dry orange liqueur.

Under the direction of the resort’s executive chef, Andres Teran, JWB features a menu as dynamic and refreshing as the restaurant’s design and mixology. One of the most unique aspects of the restaurant is its fresh spear-caught fishing program, which was created by the Margaritaville brand’s concept chef, Carlo Sernaglia. Each evening, the JWB “Fresh Spear-Caught Fish Special” changes, with details on the day’s fresh catch and the name of the local South Florida fisherman who caught it. Those who indulge will not only enjoy the freshest, highest-quality fish possible, but they will also help support South Florida’s ecological systems, as spear fishing is less damaging to the environment than line or net fishing. JWB’s fresh spear-caught fish special will depend on the weather of the day and the success of the restaurant’s fishing partners.

In addition, JWB features a raw bar with an incredible array of fresh options. Starters include Crab Cakes, Fried Oysters, Calamari and Steak Tartare, among other delicious options. Entrees menu include Prime Bone-in Ribeye, Colorado Lamb Chops, Whole Grilled Lobster and Paella Del Mar. Grilled salmon, grouper, seabass and snapper are available each day. Table sides range from Mac n’ Cheese to Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and unforgettable desserts like the shareable Bananas Foster Cream Pie are the perfect way to close out the night.

JWB Prime Steak and Seafood is located at 1111 North Ocean Drive, Hollywood, FL. The bar opens daily at 4 p.m. and the restaurant serves dinner Sunday to Thursday, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.
